MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Bombers dropped to 0-3 on the season following a 92-62 loss to Division II Mansfield.
Senior
Jim Bellis (Bloomfield Central/Bloomfield) scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Bombers. He connected on 10 of 19 shots from the floor, including five of 10 from three-point range. Sophomore
Dominic Scanlon (Oswego/Oswego) added a career high 10 points, five rebounds and one assist.
The Mountaineers used an early 20-4 run to gain a 13-point halftime lead. The Bombers had an early 9-0 run in the second half to pull within eight points with 15:34 remaining, but Mansfield controlled the rest of the second half en route to the victory.
The Bombers return to action at Hobart on Saturday. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
